Thinkaver'24 - District Level Robotics Competition for School Children

Thinkaver'24 is an exciting district level robotics competition designed to inspire and challenge young minds, first time in Tiruvannamalai. The event is tailored to different age categories, ensuring each participant gets a fair and thrilling experience. Below are the details of the competition categories, rules, and guidelines.

Categories and Rules

Standard 4 and 5  Rover Race:

 Objective: Participants will control rovers on a designated path and must reach the destination within a given time.

 Format: 

  •    Each participant is provided with rover.
  • They should control the rover in the given path and in the given duration.
  •    The race will consist of multiple rounds. 
  •    Participants who complete the track within the allotted time will advance to the next round.
  •    The top 8 rover drivers will qualify for the final round.
  •    The top 3 drivers in each standard will be declared the winners.

 Registration Fee: Rs. 200

 

Standard 6, 7, and 8  Robot Making Challenge:

 Objective: Participants will assemble a robot using a paper robotics kit within the given time.

 Format:

  •    Participants will receive a paper robotics kit with all necessary components and detailed instructions.
  •    They must complete the robot in 3 hours.
  •    The first 8 participants to complete their robots will qualify for the final round.
  •    In the final round, participants will receive a new kit and must complete the robot in 1.5 hours.
  •    The first 3 participants to complete their robots in each standard category will be the winners.

Note: Eighth-grade students can choose to participate in either the Robot Making Challenge or the Line Following Robot Race.

 Registration Fee: Rs. 300 (including Rs. 100 for the kit)

 

Standard 9 and 11  Line Following Robot Race:

 Objective: Participants will bring their line-following robots to the competition, and the robots must follow a designated track and reach the destination within a given time.

 Format:

  •    Each robot gets two chances to follow the track.
  •    The robots that complete the track in the shortest time will qualify for the final round.
  •    The top 3 robots in each standard that take the least time to reach the destination will be declared the winners.

 Registration Fee: Rs. 200
